• What does Gratification mean?
  Gratification is bribery and other illegal methods aimed at gaining profits in politics as well as in business.
• What happens to the report on gratification which I have sent?
  If the report is made to the company’s Gratification Control Unit, the verification and clarification shall be made by the Gratification Control Unit. The evaluation will determine whether the case is sent to the Corruption Eradication Commission or can be accepted by the Reporter/Receiver of the Gratification.
• Am I able to own the gratification items or objects which I have reported and which have been stipulated as state property?
  Yes, you may submit a request for compensation of the gratification items. In the event of approval, the Reporter can pay according to the nominal worth of the items stipulated.
• What happens if I do not report the gratification which I have received?
  Article 12 B of Law No 31 of 1999 as amended by Law No 20 of 2001 on Corruption Crime Eradication, states that civil servants or state officials who receive gratification related to position and in violation to obligation or duty, will be regarded as having received bribes, in the event the acceptance of the gratification is not reported, and shall be charged with a life-long sentence or at least 4 (four) years and the longest, 20 (twenty) years of jail term, as well as a fine of at least Rp 200,000,000 (two hundred million rupiah) and the most, Rp 1,000,000,000 (one billion rupiah).
• Am I allowed to accept presents/gifts?
  Yes. In the event the presents/gifts are related to specific moments such as birthdays and given without pretension or unrelated to position or authority.
• Can superiors and subordinates be giving presents/gifts?
  The giving of presents/gifts between superiors and subordinates is allowed in the event the presents/gifts are within reasonable limits and given for specific moments and without pretention.
• When do I have to report presents/gifts that I have received?
  In the event the presents/gifts are given by a third party which has the potential to create future conflicts of interest and if such presents/gifts exceed the normal standard of presents/gifts.
